This story was commissioned in 2024 by the Department of German Language and Literature of Babeș-Bolyai University, and it illustrates Kafka’s Before the Law short story, from a scrip adapted by students. It’s a story about the absurdity of laws and regulations, about social inequities and the curse of being obedient.
The project finished with a collective exhibition, part of the Kafka 100 | Neue Perspektiven event organized by the university and the German Cultural Center in Cluj. Special thanks to Laura Laza, Thomas Schneider and Manuela Dressel for the invite!
