Păcală on the Moon

This is a poster illustration for an animated movie that was lost forever – Păcală on the Moon, by Aurel Petrescu (1920). Made in November 2020 for Animest, the image takes inspiration from old Romanian glass icons and tries to imagine what the absurd film could have been about.
